Twelve is a very Christmassy number…on 19 December (wait for it) 12 pupils from Year 12 at Ashton on Mersey School volunteered to help cook and serve a Christmas dinner for isolated local residents. They did a brilliant job and even ran a
session of festive bingo. 
“It was fabulous getting served my Christmas Lunch by a handsome young man,” said one happy diner. And the smiles and good vibes went both ways as a teacher reported that “when the students got back to school they were buzzing!” The meal took place at Sale West Community Centre.
