Connecting, sharing and helping to make things happen
When we see opportunities for good things to happen, we like to get stuck in. We find ways to link groups, funds, ideas and services to make projects happen.
We are happy to give presentations in council chambers and talk proposals through with decision-makers. Please get in touch to find out how we can help your ideas come to life.

Streetgames Wigan – our role in helping young people to get active
We nurtured, managed and co-ordinated this thriving network of sports and community organisations. This meant helping organisations of different sizes and experience to work well together (from Wigan Wasps to firefighters to community centres). We found the right training for staff and volunteers and worked hard to find the funding and partners to make the network sustainable.
Fit and fed – fighting holiday hunger
We worked with Kirklees Council and StreetGames (the national organisation) to enable 15 community organisations to deliver summer holiday activity sessions that included healthy meals. We advised local organisations about session design and logistics.
Overall the scheme helped children’s physical and mental health by supporting them to eat healthily and enjoy activities together. For example at Windybank eight two hour sessions were delivered to an average number of 25 children. Healthy foods such as salads, hummus, pita bread and jacket potatoes were enjoyed after taster sessions of rugby, dodge ball and dance.

Proud to be a bit blobby
Have you heard about the blobs and the squares? It’s a parable that explains how difficult it can be for communities to use public money to make things better for themselves. It goes like this…
